In 1988 the Pacific Grove Police Department began searching for a computerized records management system that would be efficient,effective, and user-friendly. We were lucky enough to find TracNet, a system that was being developed by experienced police professionals with a focus to make departments work smarter, not harder. TracNet works because it was developed with the user in mind.
The system is constantly being fine-tuned and the developers are responsive to the user-agency needs. TracNet has allowed our records division to come into the 21st Century from mobile computer reporting to digital booking and bar-coded property management, and has been there with us every step of the way. Outstanding system support by friendly, knowledgeable people has given us confidence in the technical arena of computerized records management.
